Soccer Skills Competition Rules

Parents/Guardians please read these rules carefully.

Rules of the competition:

All scores from the competition are final

Some of the challenges call for a score that is timed to the hundredth of a second; the scorer's stopwatch time is final.
Parents please do not make this difficult for your kids by trying to contest their scores. Our staff have years of experience in the game and we only hire scorers who we trust to represent our program with the highest integrity.

Latecomers

Players are asked to arrive half an hour before the start of the competition. It is very important that parents remember this since players will be checked in and grouped according to the age, gender and level of play.
We will try our best to accommodate latecomers but once the competition has started, cannot guarantee that any latecomers will be able to compete in each of the seven challenges.

No Refunds

The registration fee per player is $25.00. This gives the player confirmed registration and all seven soccer skills challenge packages. We do not issue refunds. Please do NOT register for the competition if there is a chance that your son or daughter will be unable to attend.

How players get to the state finals:

At the soccer skills competition, players are scored in each of the seven challenges. The player with the best overall score (based on the seven challenges) will advance to the state finals.

Tiebreaker:

At the end of the competition event, we will tally all players' scores on each of the seven challenges to find the player who has topped the score in their age group, gender and level of play.
Where more than one player has attained the same total score (based on their performance in the seven challenges) the player's time in the DRIBBLING challenge will be used to determine the winner.

Who goes to the state finals?

The state finals are the second round of the competition. At the state finals, winners from each of the ten event locations in Washington compete against each other.

Disruption and Interference:

Family and friends are welcome to accompany the participant to the soccer skills competition but are asked to stay behind the boundaries of each of the challenge courses. Well-wishers will be asked to leave the premises if they inhibit the progression of the competition in any way or disrupt the scorer from his/her job by swearing or causing any other type of upset to the social setting.

NO FILMING! :

No video cameras are allowed at the competition and parents are not allowed to film any part of the competition. Please use your cameras to take action shots of your soccer players.
Parents who violate this rule will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

The Grand Prizes:

The winner of the competition has the choice of either a trip to england for player and parent or a cash prize of $1,000 plus two season tickets for the Sounders.
The cash prize is being introduced to facilitate players and parents who are unable or unwilling to travel.
